Allium is the neighbourhood gem you’ve been looking for. Nestled on the corner of James Street and Merthyr Road in New Farm, this quaint restaurant hosts an ever evolving menu with a range of dining options to please. Opened in 2016 by husband and wife team, James & Kylie Gallagher, Allium has been a labour of love for the duo. As Head Chef and Owner, James focuses directly on his guest’s enjoyment. His dishes, while displaying exceptional technique are not designed to shock, instead they exhibit familiar, comforting flavours. Allium is a firm favourite with locals, delivering relaxed fine dining in a comfortable, cosy space.

JAMES GALLAGHER

EXECUTIVE CHEF & OWNER

Hailing from London, James trained at the same culinary college as jamie oliver, and worked in some of London’s most acclaimed restaurants.

Arriving in Australia 10 years ago he worked his way around the Brisbane Fine Dining scene before finally achieving his dream and self funding the opening of his own restaurant, Allium.

ANNA PARIS

RESTAURANT MANAGER & SOMMELIER

Italian born, Anna is an extremely knowledgeable sommelier, completing her wset level 3 since arriving in Brisbane.

Anna works tirelessly to ensure our wine programme is constantly evolving with our ever changing menu. She has a true passion for food and wine pairings and is always on hand to assist with your selections. .
